I’m  the  Grocery Store Gal!

I’m an avid grocery shopper and a total foodie.

But I also have a budget. I have a family. I have a home. Did I mention the occasional dog?

I’m always looking for ways to shop smarter, save more, and satisfy my search for new ways to keep my home and family healthy and happy and I LOVE grocery stores. In fact I think grocery stores are the most important stores because that’s where we shop for those things that are so important to our families and our homes!

How the Grocery Store Gal got started

But I didn’t always think that way. There was time, not so long ago when I really hated grocery shopping. I used to just grab a cart and try to get through it as fast as possible. I never thought of my trip to the grocery store as a chance to get healthier or try exciting new products or even learn new ways to use products I had been buying for years.

Let’s face it. I was stuck in a grocery shopping rut, always buying the same old products and ingredients that I had been buying for years. I never never bought my beauty products at a grocery store–I was way too ‘up town’ for that. I always went to a drug store for my health products. My pet food was vet supplied. Even kid snacks, toys and utensils came from a department store NEVER a grocery store.

And then one day I had a Eureka moment!

I suddenly realized that my grocery store–in fact all grocery stores–were the most amazing, exciting and important shopping destinations. My grocery store was where just about everything that I cared for, loved, and needed began.

That was the moment that changed everything for me.

Buying food became an adventure in taste, exploration, diet, money management, and savings-and all this in the food aisles of my very own grocery store.

Buying grocery store beauty products became an adventure in exciting and cost effective skin, hair, nail care, and make-up. I didn’t have to make a separate trip to a department store because some of the very best brands were right there in the beauty aisle just waiting for me.

There was no stopping me. Home items like pots and pans, household stuff,  kids toys, office stationery, stamps and envelopes, gifts for friends and family, everything I wanted and needed right there waiting to be tossed into my grocery cart.

And it didn’t stop there. Just because I left the grocery store didn’t mean that the grocery store didn’t come home with me. It did. From new recipes, amazing ingredients, trusted brands, fun and funky new looks, great products, and hundreds of money saving ideas–all in my grocery bags just waiting to become part of my home and my life.

So that’s when I decided that grocery stores are fantastic shopping destinations and that all I wanted from now on was to share my excitement with everyone! That’s why I’m the Grocery Store Gal!
